Keith Galvin - Cascade

I currently live in the Hunua Ranges south-east of Auckland City.

I have had over 30 years of experience contemporary painting in watercolours and acrylics. The subject matter has been predominantly landscape and especially water scenes.

My artistic passion is taking iconic New Zealand images and incorporating my interpretation of the vibrant colours seen in coastal margins.

My creation of glass artworks has developed over the last 5 years. Fused glass as a medium gives me the opportunity to combine its transparency properties and sculptural form with the imagery that has evolved in my years of watercolour painting. Recently the glass creations have become more abstract.

I believe the result is a unique combination of image artistry and glass craftmanship.
