Mark Hosking - Potted Wild Wood

We lost our only child Jess who was an artist in so many mediums. A year after losing her Sandra and I created MS J Jewellery (Mark, Sandra and Jess) and Sandra did beading only working in glass. 2017 I told her she needed to be making her own glass pieces so we brought a kiln. This was the start of me being involved in the business. We made glass Sunflowers (Jess's favourite flower) and these were our signature pieces that were wall or window hangings. Once we had a kiln we evolved and 2019 we brought a torch from Mountain Glass in USA. In 2021 10 years after we lost Jess we rebranded and became Sunflower Glass Studio NZ using the tattoo on Sandra's arm as our logo. We were 100% You Tube taught until 2023 when we journeyed from UK to Ireland and then to Murano Italy learning and exploring different glass making techniques.
